That's not a pillow!

So, after viewing one of Mommy and Gracie show's toy fair videos, a woman showcasing the ever after high dolls said " and here's here purse that is a pillow..." ( Not exact quoting) Whoa whoa whoa... I did NOT know that that was a pillow. I thought it was like a spool of thread or something, it looks nothing like a pillow, it doesn't even open! Not a good job Mattel, not a good job.

( Sorry the recent posts are so short, I've been dried up of ideas)

Hold your horses everybody

SO, in the new spring catalog, Marie grace, Cecile, and Ruthie are all missing. Now, everyone's just gone to the conclusion that those 3 are retiring. Okay, first of all, I would like to point out a few things...

1. In each catalog it says ( and I quote) "Not all american girl products are featured in every catalog. Additional items are available for purchase online,by phone, or n stores. Availability and prices are subject to change. " 
2. Marie grace and Cecile have only been out for 3 years, would they seriously retire?
3. In the January catalog, Ivy is missing. They do this sometimes. 
4. It was also noted that there could be different versions of the catalog, with different dolls in them.

I hope all of these rumors are put to rest. I have always wanted Marie grace as well as Ivy, and that's a lot to handle if they do retire. ( Although if they do retire, I hope they all go on sale before so maybe I can get all 3)

Proper dress?

SO, ever after high dolls are wonderfully detailed. But I notice something... All of the basic dresses are short-sleeved. Now, I know what you're thinking... "But Ashllyn ella's dress has sleeves"and it does, but they are mesh and I don't count them as sleeves. Why is this? This is a small problem, as we want girls to be age appropriate. Also, dresses such as Apple's don't have straps. Does this mean the costume does not have straps? We need something like a dress code, saying that Mattel can't make any doll clothing to short or to revealing and other rules like that. I love the EAH dolls dresses, they are beautiful. But beauty is not wearing a mini skirt. What do you think? Does Mattel need a dress code for their dolls?

Ashllyn ella's wedding!

So, Chad alan recently did a tutorial on how to make a doll dress with a train (click here to see it) and I can't wait to sew it! I just have to get material, but I am going to make Ashllyn ella a wedding gown! It looks pretty easy...

Sewing fun!

So, as you may know, I won't fit in AG human sized clothing. This is kind of sad because I would love to wear some of the human sized outfits. But now that I've picked up sewing, I can make my own human-doll sized clothing! So, my latest project has been a nightgown. My mom made me a human sized nightgown, so I'm going to create a doll sized replica by modifying a L.J.C. pattern. I can't wait to try it out! I just hope I have time to...

Home-made monster high display case!

So, I had this box and I turned it into a monster high display case! Now, Mattel did make a  MH display case, but it is not available anymore. So, here's what it looks like!

as you can see, I need to paint it or something. This will actually only work on the smaller MH dolls, because of the box size.

How to make doll hagers!

So, on doll diaries picks of the week post, I found this cute hager post, so I decided to make some... LIFESAVER!!!!!!!! They are super easy to make, and I can now hang all of my doll clothes!

Now, the main closet needed more room to hold everything now that I can hang everything up so here's my creative solution!

Ta-da!

So, you can't see it to well, but I installed a 2nd rack! Now, I can hang anything and everything, and save over $32! I love it! If you want to know how to make it, click the link above!

New movie: Isabelle dances into the spotllight

So, American Girl Magazine recently did an article on Isabelle's movie. This year, it's not based on one of her book titles, it's called Isabelle dances into the spotlight. The actress is Canadian actress Erin Pitt. She is actually a ballerina in real life, as well as took a sewing class once to. AG says it's a coincidence, but if you want some drama, you can be a skeptic of that.

Doll craze

So, on of the rumors with the rumored be-forever historical line is that they will retire all of the best friend dolls. If this does happen, I would like to get Marie grace and Ivy. Don't get me wrong, Cecile is a beautiful doll, but if they are retired, I would want Marie grace first. I have also wanted Ivy forever in a day, but I've just always chosen another doll. Both of these dolls have been on my mind lately, and it's sort of bugging me. I hope that they don't retire the best friend dolls, they are NOT "accessories." I also wonder that if they are bringing Samantha back, will they bring back any of the other retired dolls in 6 years? (if they do, I can't wait for Molly and Emily to return!) I just hope that the "exciting changes" are actually exciting, and not devastating like the fact that Nellie is not coming back. Hopefully, AG is going back to the "heart of the company."

Nellie's not coming back! :(

So, if you haven't already heard from medef2003, Samantha is officially coming out of the archives. But wait until you hear this... Nellie's not coming back. The best friend dolls are considered "Accessories." Accessories...ACCESSORIES!?!?!?!? Nellie is not an accessory, neither are Ruthie,Emily,ivy,Marie grace, or Cecile.  I am so mad/sad about this. What's the point of bringing Samantha back if you don't bring Nellie back to? Nellie is a main character in Samantha's story's. She taught us what life was like on the other side. I don't know, but I think she may have sold out before Samantha. (probably not, but it is possible) Nellie was a beautiful Irish immigrant. I wish Nellie was coming back to. I probably won't buy Samantha. Now, don't get me wrong, Samantha is beautiful... But...

• She looks a lot like Molly
• She'll probably cost a ton of $$
• She will most likely come in the new box, in a different meet outfit
• I've never particularly been interested in Samantha

So, I also saw in the description of the video that all of the best friend dolls will retire.  So, if you have ever wanted Ruthie,Ivy,Marie grace, or Cecile, get them asap. I will probably save up. I am so bummed... at least there's always e-bay.

*Update!*
After browsing the wiki, I found that Nellie sold out on December 5th, 2008 and Samantha sold out Feb. third,2009. Their collection was officially archived may 2009.So Nellie did sell out before Samantha! That says something, doesn't it?

Behind the scenes of my new you tube series!

So, I decided not to do AG craft spotlight, because I just wasn't motivated to do it. This series however, will definitely stay! Here's the story line...

Here's the first episode of Olivia and Andrea! They're 2 girls with 2 totally different life styles. What happens when Olivia becomes Andrea's room mate? You'll have to keep watching to find out! These will be approx. 5 min. episodes, that will come out about every week.

My opinion on AG's new releases

I'm not going to put in photos, as you can go to the website and see them for yourself.

Double bow dress: It's cute, but I could totally make that with my sewing machine.

Egg decorating set: It's cute as usual, but It's a bit unrealistic. When I decorate Easter eggs, I don't use an elegant platter...

New dinning table & accessories: It's okay, but I like the old one better. I'm so glad I got Molly's table&chairs, so I have a doll table now.

Limited edition sets

Kit's candy making set: It's really cute, but I don't think it really connects with her story.

Julie's dance set: Love it! It's really cute and RAINBOW! Although I don't plan on getting it, I admire it!

Rebecca's school play set: Love it, Although if you didn't know she was playing a butterfly, it might be really confusing.

Jingle dress of today- EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kaya has a new dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! Kaya hasn't had a new dress in 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiered bitty dress: really cute.

Floral swim outfit & Gear: I love it! I think I may get it because I am a swimmer, and AG hasn't done a swim & gear set in a while.

Happy birthday outfit: I think it's kind of...lame. Not really for me.

Rainy day outfit: Love it! It's a bit expensive though, and I wish they had inverted the polka dots.

Hair styling set's

Addy's: It is really sure, although I'm not sure the braided headband was for her.

Julie: Love the rainbow hair ties, so I might get this one...

Caroline: Okay, but now Caroline has 2 hair extensions in her collection. (this and her braided headband from her holiday gown)

Kit's set: Love it!!!!!!!! It is the cheapest set, and I love the little card the barrettes come on to!

Rebecca's hairstyling set: LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I really want this, and I can't believe it's $20. Outrageous!!!!!!!

E-bay knows about american girl dolls?

So, I was researching the internet for any more information on the possibility of the re release of Samantha, and I found that e-bay has an entire page dedicated to the knowledge of american girl dolls. Everything about them. It is dated in 2013, so it's pretty recent. There are more than 1 guide as well... This article has everything you would ever need to know about AG. The company,the dolls, everything. Although I think you can just write articles, so we don't know if this is a credible person or not. But this is a ton of information.

My secret love: My American Girl #24

I have a bit of a "secret love". You know when there are those things that you really want but just never try to get? That's what this situation is. So, one day while I was on AG's doll selector thing, the part of the website that looks like this:

I was just looking through when I saw... #24. I really loved her. She has blond hair,brown eyes, and freckles. (and light skin) It was like she would make a perfect edition to my collection. Although some people say her hair is a hassel, I am up for it. I think that maybe this year or next year I will actually attempt to buy her. But right now, it's only a dream...

New historical items!!!

Okay, so recently Medef2003 on youtube (check out her blog here) posted a video of new rumored AG releases... new historical items!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can not even begin to express how happy I am about this. Kaya is said to have a new dress!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been 3 years since Kaya got a new dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rebecca should also getting a few new outfits, as well as a few new MAG sets. I think there will be a few new GOTY items, as well as a few new bitty baby/bitty twin items as well. Go here to see her video on the new releases. Some more mystery books will also come out. I am so excited!!!!!!!! I hope Rebecca's hair styling set comes out soon, it is so cute!

Ever After High: Wave 1 complete!

I am in no way at all trying to brag or be greedy in any way, this is only as sort of a showcase of my Ever After High Collection.

So, this Monday I went doll hunting using money I had been saving up. While doll hunting, I completed wave 1 of my Ever After High collection! The last two dolls I bought were Apple white and Briar beauty. If you go to target, there will most likely be every single EAH doll there, since there are currently only 16 dolls to collect as of now. So, here are all the dolls hanging out:

I am really glad to have wave 1. I would like to get Cerise,C.A. Cupid, and Blondie locks.
Also, I thought I would let you guys know that Saige Items are no longer available on americangirl.com (except for her books and movie)

American girl to open in Nashville Tennessee, spring 2015

The title sounds just like a newspaper headline right? That was what I was going for. :)

Anyways, so if you didn't find this out from doll diaries, American girl or on Youtube, American girl is opening a store in Nashville Tennessee in the spring of 2015. Based on what I have seen, a Nashville store has been one of the most commonly asked for store locations. (Opinion, not fact) This is very good, as it means AG could open more stores elsewhere. A lot of locations have been asked for, so this is just one more site checked off the to-do list. (I wonder if American girl actually has a list of stores they need to make...) I think this means that AG is listening to people on some levels. (I mean, AG hasn't said that they will make a disabled GOTY) Overall,yay! So, what do you think of the new AG store?
