First rant- Marie Grace v.s. Mary Grace
I hear it all the time "and here is Mary grace" this is very annoying, because her name is pronounced Marie grace. (ma-re) It just annoys me when people say she's Mary grace. Cecile is another name, just the other day I heard a good agtuber ( I won't name names) say her name as say-seal. (trying to give you an idea of the way they pronounced it.) None of these mispronunciations though are worse that Josefina.
Okay, first of all her name is spelled j-o-s-e-f-i-n-a not josephina. Next, the J is pronounced as an H, a Mexican tradition. So her name is ho-se-fina not jo-se-fina. It frustrates me. Some people also mispronounce Kaya's name as ka-ya when it is ki-ya. Also, did you know that kit's real name is Margret Mildred? I am shocked because it seems that so many people don't know that. I think that's all of the name pronunciation mistakes I've heard.
Here are the proper names, pronunciations and spellings
Marie Grace- ma-re Grace
Cecile- se-cile (c and S sound the same, so say the c as an s)
Josefina- ho-se-fina
Kaya- ki-ya
Did you learn anything?
*this rant was not meat to be offensive to anyone or anything. All of the statements are my opinions.*

Another clothing swap! Cabbage patch sailor& AG Lindsey
So today, I notied that my cabbage patch clothes should (in theory) fit an AG doll. Let's take a look
As you can see, it's not even worth trying on the shoes. Overall, it's another 1 way swap. Lindsey can wear cabbage patch clothes, but cabbage patch can't wear AG clothes. I can't wait till I find a 2 way swap.
Here's how the outfit fits on Lindsey, it looks so cute! It was really hard to get on though. Because of the ridiculously small necks of cabbage patch kids, it was really tight, but once you get it on it;s fine.
Now, what about shoes?
You really think that's gonna fit? |

Camp doll diaries craft catch up
SO I have not been doing a lot of cdd crafts, and since I'm home tomorrow I will use that day to prepare for cdd 2014! Here's my progress
I decided to catch up on some of the awesome crafts, here's the braided headband...
pic.
Then I also made the tote bag. It is so AWESOME!!!! I absolutely love how it turned out!
Both of those tutorials were by Anna of dollitup.com I love love love her!
I have already made the keys and banners:
pic.
I also added the I'm going badge to the blog (look over to the right)
Next I plan to print out registration forms. This is going to be difficult because this year I will have to print out 2 sheets since I have 4 dolls going. Kaya will be a counselor. Then I just have to gather up the basic supplies. The cdd 2014 page is missing from the doll crafts and fun bar, I'm sure it'll be back up tomorrow.I also need to do the reusable banner craft. Tomorrow is craft a palooza!
*I will update this post when I make progress*

Book review: A Molly mystery Clues in the shadows
I absolutely love this Molly mystery! In this book, Molly's dad is home from war, but he seems to be having a hard time adjusting to life at home. When her favorite red cross leader abruptly quits, Molly knows something is fishy. I enjoyed the read so much! I think the part I liked the most was when... well if I told you there would be some major spoilers, so you'll just have to read the book. XD Anyways, I totally recommend this book!!! It's larger than the normal chapter books, and recommended for children ages 9+. You can get it either on amazon.com or americangirl.com I believe they will still sell the old books after beforever, I'm not exactly sure. Here's what the book looks like:
Fun fact: The sweater Molly is wearing is a hand me down from Jill. In Molly's surprise, you can see on page 21, Jill is wearing the exact same sweater. How cool!

How it's supposed to look
Okay, so you guys remember how I was thinking that thing was a headband? Turns out it's a belt. I was looking at the march cataloge and I was like ooooooooooooohhhhhhhh. So now I feel completely stupid for thinking it was a headband. Now, here's how it's supposed to look.
See the belt? It's supposed to go there, not on her head. Guess I better take down that "how to properly get Kaya dressed in her jingle dress" video.

Painting ponies is hard!
So, my blind bag Apple jack had a few factory pain mess ups. I had heard of people re painting ponies, so I decide to try re painting over some of the mess ups. It is HARD! You have to get the teeniest of brushes, and most of the time you mess up. I don't have a before pic, so here's the after!
You can't see it well in the picture, but I tried painting over a few of her misshaps. it was SO hard. i don't recommend pony painting.
In fact, I think Gilda is the one who has the best pain job... because she has the least amount of paint on her. (wings, tail, eyes and her front feet)
Here's the whole group. Pinkie pie has the same mishaps as Applejack did, but I am NOT painting her. Twilight has an okay pain job. After my next blind bag haul, I'll have 2 more ponies. I like my technique of buying with the codes, I buy 1 pony which I know I'll get and 1 mystery pony. Oh well, I wish all the pony painters out there good luck!

Clothing swap: MH Abbey and AG mini Emily
So I've known for a while that AG mini doll clothes can fit MH dolls very well, so today I decided to do an actual post about it.
I just love how the mini dresses fit the MH dolls, aside form being WAY to short. They don''t look weird or puffy or at least not that odd. Unlike mini Emily inn MH Abbey's dress...
You see, because of the MH dolls tiny bodies and arched backs, the dresses just don't fit on the minis. and if they do fit, they don't pull off the right look.
The dresses won't close in the back either as I said because of the arched MH backs.

So, it's a one way swap. MH dolls look great in mini clothes, but AG in MH? Not so much.
Why YOU should invest in fashion packs
Wow, it's been 6 days since I've posted! I've just been caught up in all the Beforever drama, so just forgive me. Anyways, onto the post.
When I got my first monster high doll Scaris Ghoulia, one of the things that bothered me was her dress. It was SO short, and often times after taking her off the shelf her dress would be above her hips, revealing her underwear. I knew there were fashion packs, but I thought they were useless. I also knew that there were like 5 different ones, so I didn't wan to buy them.
That is until I saw a Ghoulia fashion pack at Toysrus. It had PANTS!!! Perfect! I thought, that was just what I needed. Unfortunately, I was wanting other stuff and didn't buy it until later. This fashion pack was a LIFESAVER! Finally, no one who came into my room would have to see a doll's sculpted on underwear.
The whole point of this story is, fashion packs are worth it. If you just like collecting them, I recommend you put them on econmy dolls such as the dance class or Ghoul spirit dolls. There are currently 4 deluxe fashion packs that come with 2 outfits, shoes, earrings, etc. For Ghoulia,Operetta,Frankie and Robecca. There are also 3 single packs for $6.00 for Draculara,Spectra, Lagoona and Abbey. I want pretty much all of them. Now I've got another thing to eat up my money. Oh well, life of a collector.

I'm getting 13 wishes lagoona!
Okay, so as you saw yesterday I went on a big doll hunt, and got some blind bags, the 2nd EAH book and creepateria Howleen. Well, as we left toysrus to go to target, out of the blue my friend surprised me with a $20 gift card to target, I was shocked! But, there's one problem... she left the card in her suitcase, so today we are going back to target to get 13 wishes lagoona, nothing else. I can't wait! The time is killing me! I won't do a doll hunting clog; since it will be a really quick trip but I will be doing a review of course.

Setting up for camp doll diaries!
So, last night Char at doll diaries posted more printables for Camp doll diaries 2014! I love the new logo, and the cool stuff we're already making! Anna also shows you how to make a bag for your dolls-love it! Go to dolldiaries.com to see all the cool stuff. I would post photos, but the printer isn't working right now.
New doll do's!
Okay, so I decide to go to e-bay to find the Chinese seller to see if he/she had anything else that I hand't seen. I didn't find amazing shoppone, but I did find something interesting. I'm not going to out the photo here (copophobia, fear of copyright, and yes, I know that's not a real phobia) but I found a new doll do's set! It's a set of clip in braids! Who knows when it will be released, but go here to see it. It looks good for girls who don't know how to braid. Well, what else has AG been keeping from us?

Beforever a lie?
Okay, so after the total D-R-A-M-A over beforever, I saw an interesting post on living a dolls life. She did not see the original post of the beforever box, and it looks like it could be easily PHOTOSHOPPED. (dunh, dun, dunnnnnnnnnn) and it could easily have been. Now... what to believe?

Sewing Sunday!
Today was a sewing day. I made 2 projects, first of which was a doll pet bed for meatloaf:
Next I decided to try and make a fitted sheet for Molly's bed:
I might do a tutorial, if I can figure out how to recreate it. I am really proud of this, and loved making it.
I also made a pillow and doll choker for fun:
That was my day. I hope you guys had a good day!
I made this pet bed from a tutorial that Myfroggystuff just made today! Make it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUt4iO0NZy4 |

The bottom view, see how it's fitted? I know, I did mess up on 1 side. |

American girl opens in Canada!
Today, American girl finally opened in Canada! If you haven't seen any photos, go to Karen mom of three's craft blog to see her report, it's so well put together! One thing I have to say though, that store is SO SMALL!!! It barely has anything. There's only 25 My AG's, half the section is Isabelle, and there's no bistro, doll tee station, etc. I know there are some people who don't even have a MAG that matches them, so in Canada, what's the chance that girls will have a MAG that matches them? I know the store is small, but what about instead of going out, going up? If you can't get more floor space, then get more levels of the store! Also, I find it interesting that Mattel is fighting for the Caroline trademark, why in Canada? Is it just to sell her books or maybe to sell the doll to? I am also wondering if this means that AG will be expanding to other countries, I would love to see and AGP in the UK. Another complaint I have, the MAG dolls are not in a display case, at least the 25 that are there. Those dolls are going to be touched by thousands of grubby little hands, the hair probably getting mangled. I mean, we all saw what happened to Saige dolls right? It is way better to have glass get dirty instead of dolls. I mean, the dolls could also easily be stolen. Love the overall format, but the store does need improvement. Overall, happy grand opening!
It's been a while since I've done a wordy post, hope you guys like it!

Awesome deal!
I can't really decide what to blog about today, so instead, I thought I'd tell you guys about this AWESOME deal at Toysrus! The economy line dolls ( skinny box dolls) are only $10 each! That is a great deal, considering they are normally $15. Go to Living a doll's life to learn more!
