Could a GOTY with a disability sell out by august?

Now, we're all talking about GOTY 2015. I'm surprised we don't have more info by now. By october we had full photos of Isabelle, but right now all we know is that GOTY 2015 has a code name "Coco" is getting her own movie and it's all about saving her grandparent's ice cream shop. Now, from what we know, GOTY 2015 isn't going to have a disability, from what we can tell. Which I think is sad, especially after Melissa shang petitioned and got the attention of the media. Anyways, my question. Everyone wants more diversity, and everyone wants a doll with a disability. How fast would an disabled Asain american GOTY take to sell out? I mean, it's like everything that everyone wants. I know I would buy her. I am predicting if we ever had a GOTY like this that she would sell out by August. I believe Mckenna sold out around september or november right? Oh well, what do you think?

American girl place Hawaii!!!

As if I haven't blogged enough, I have decided to blog about this. You may have missed this bit of news in my videos or on the AG facebook page but AG is opening a store in Hawaii!!! It's different though, because it will only be there for a limited time from October 4th through April 15th. This could just be marketing research but it could also be another version of small AG stores like Kansas city. I'm very excited even though I could NEVER go to Hawaii, but it's great for AGtubers like pupukagirl who live in Hawaii and love AG dolls! They should have everything a normal AG store has although things like doll hospital admissions might not be there. We also don't know whether there will be exclusives but I hope there will. All of this has been confirmed by AG on their facebook page, so it's not a rumor!!! I hope at least someone will have pics, like pupukagirl or someone similar to her. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this news! I don't have any other info, so this is the one time I'm going to ask you to NOT ask questions. Rhonda over at livingadollslife.blogspot.com also has a post about this is you do have questions, though I cannot guarantee the post will answer them.

*This store has now been scheduled to close April 26th as it was only a test store, a new post will come soon on the matter*

MH makeovers and good lighting

So today I was a bit bored and decided to FINALLY do something about Twyla's bangs. If you're an avid MH collector you might know that twyla's bangs are rooted weirdly, causeing them to part in the center to where they almost aren't bangs. This was the first problem I tackled.

Before:

This is before. I'm using a rainbow loom band to smooth down the bangs. I also washed her hair before I did this.

After:

Here's the after! and... I'm not really happy. I think is is substantially better than before, but it's not perfect like I thought it would be.

I am also taking all these photos with my phone under the lamp. The lamp is a GREAT place to take photos of MH&EAH dolls!!!!

I need to fix Jane's hair, it's a hot mess. I have seen her hair down and I really don't like it down.

Jane's hair:

Next, it was onto Picture day Draculara! She had a LOT of gel in her hair. In fact, after I washed it, the water looked mysteriously white and foggy, so I hope I got some Gel out. I didn't get a before, but here's and after, don't her bangs look GREAT?!?!? I think they look much better than usual, but I still wish Monster high would do more thin bangs like Pic. Day Frankie or Dance class Rochelle.

Still, her hair is SO THIN and easy to wash:

Then I washed Lagoona's hair! I was quite unsuccessful, as There's still some gel right near the roots on the top of the head. This also shows how thin Dance class Lagoona's hair is.

Here's the hairstyle from the front:

I also LOVE taking photos under the lamp because I can display small figurines such as MH pets:

or my little polly pocket mermaid:

and if I want to do a review of a doll, I can easily take photos of small accessories like bags:

and derp eyes:

Yeah, so what do you think? Now I can't wait to get my next MH doll, which will hopefully be Freaky fusion Ghoulia I can do a blog review of her too!!!

Random doll photos

Took a couple of cute photos today:

Here's molly in a cute Red outfit! She's wearing the Kansas city exclusive tee with the Ice skating outfit skirt and underwear. (plus her glasses of course) And her hair is styled in a side ponytail.
(older, retired version)

This is big Emily holding little Emily

Here are them standing next to each other

Here's me trying to get a cute pose

This might be a new icon for my youtube channel

So yeah, I hope you enjoyed those random photos and hideous backgrounds! Goodnight!

Look what I found!!

Okay, so I was mindlessly searching the internet when I found this: http://www.americangirl.com/corp/corporate.php?section=news&id=7

Now read it before you read on...

Interesting huh? Look at the phrase in the second paragraph
"When you buy an american girl doll, you always get a book with it. In fact, we never sell a doll without a book"

Now that was 2008. It's quite saddening to see how things have changed. "dolls always come with a book" To the MAG dolls that don't fit that standard. Just interesting.

The perfect idea!

So, I've been on the fence about whether I should plan on wanting #61. She's gorgeous, but why would I need her? Then, I thought of something. So, I've now decided that someday, I will get #61 and name her after a character in the book The giver (which I haven't actually managed to read it all the way through yet) named Fiona. I just feel like that would be the perfect name for her.

Then there's also Caroline. I've been on the fence about if I wanted Caroline or not for a year or two now. I finally came up with a solution! Someday, I will buy Caroline BUT she will become a modern girl named Willow, since she looks just like one of my friends I used to have named Willow.

Now when I would actually get these dolls is unclear. In the next 2-3 years maybe. I will get them eventually though, and I just love their characters. Willow will be my only renamed historical doll, so that'll be cool. Overall, I'm looking forward to the next 2-3 years.
