That's not a pillow!

So, after viewing one of Mommy and Gracie show's toy fair videos, a woman showcasing the ever after high dolls said " and here's here purse that is a pillow..." ( Not exact quoting) Whoa whoa whoa... I did NOT know that that was a pillow. I thought it was like a spool of thread or something, it looks nothing like a pillow, it doesn't even open! Not a good job Mattel, not a good job.

( Sorry the recent posts are so short, I've been dried up of ideas)

Hold your horses everybody

SO, in the new spring catalog, Marie grace, Cecile, and Ruthie are all missing. Now, everyone's just gone to the conclusion that those 3 are retiring. Okay, first of all, I would like to point out a few things...

1. In each catalog it says ( and I quote) "Not all american girl products are featured in every catalog. Additional items are available for purchase online,by phone, or n stores. Availability and prices are subject to change. " 
2. Marie grace and Cecile have only been out for 3 years, would they seriously retire?
3. In the January catalog, Ivy is missing. They do this sometimes. 
4. It was also noted that there could be different versions of the catalog, with different dolls in them.

I hope all of these rumors are put to rest. I have always wanted Marie grace as well as Ivy, and that's a lot to handle if they do retire. ( Although if they do retire, I hope they all go on sale before so maybe I can get all 3)

Proper dress?

SO, ever after high dolls are wonderfully detailed. But I notice something... All of the basic dresses are short-sleeved. Now, I know what you're thinking... "But Ashllyn ella's dress has sleeves"and it does, but they are mesh and I don't count them as sleeves. Why is this? This is a small problem, as we want girls to be age appropriate. Also, dresses such as Apple's don't have straps. Does this mean the costume does not have straps? We need something like a dress code, saying that Mattel can't make any doll clothing to short or to revealing and other rules like that. I love the EAH dolls dresses, they are beautiful. But beauty is not wearing a mini skirt. What do you think? Does Mattel need a dress code for their dolls?

Ashllyn ella's wedding!

So, Chad alan recently did a tutorial on how to make a doll dress with a train (click here to see it) and I can't wait to sew it! I just have to get material, but I am going to make Ashllyn ella a wedding gown! It looks pretty easy...

Sewing fun!

So, as you may know, I won't fit in AG human sized clothing. This is kind of sad because I would love to wear some of the human sized outfits. But now that I've picked up sewing, I can make my own human-doll sized clothing! So, my latest project has been a nightgown. My mom made me a human sized nightgown, so I'm going to create a doll sized replica by modifying a L.J.C. pattern. I can't wait to try it out! I just hope I have time to...

Home-made monster high display case!

So, I had this box and I turned it into a monster high display case! Now, Mattel did make a  MH display case, but it is not available anymore. So, here's what it looks like!

as you can see, I need to paint it or something. This will actually only work on the smaller MH dolls, because of the box size.

How to make doll hagers!

So, on doll diaries picks of the week post, I found this cute hager post, so I decided to make some... LIFESAVER!!!!!!!! They are super easy to make, and I can now hang all of my doll clothes!

Now, the main closet needed more room to hold everything now that I can hang everything up so here's my creative solution!

Ta-da!

New movie: Isabelle dances into the spotllight

So, American Girl Magazine recently did an article on Isabelle's movie. This year, it's not based on one of her book titles, it's called Isabelle dances into the spotlight. The actress is Canadian actress Erin Pitt. She is actually a ballerina in real life, as well as took a sewing class once to. AG says it's a coincidence, but if you want some drama, you can be a skeptic of that.
